Grady Owens is a freelance audio engineer, producer, technician and musician.
Owens received his B.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2004 and has been practicing as an engineer and performing in New York City since. 

As an engineer, Owens has worked with musicians including Yeasayer, Genesis P-Orridge, Kim Gordon, Enid Ellen, Victor DeLorenzo (Violent Femmes), Hunter Hunt-Hendrix, Adam Green (Moldy Peaches), Praqtiss (Practice), Muslin, Suicide Slide, and Kayla Guthrie. He has also performed with acts including Mogwai, Bonnie Prince Billy (Will Oldham), Mastadon, Nada Surf, Yeasayer, Young Magic, Against Me!, Rilo Kiley, 90 Day Men, GDFX, Shilpa Ray, Bernard Herman, James Campbell, and Shop Talk. As a composer he has produced music for commercial brands such as Windex, Kellogg’s, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Reynolds, Cafe Mom and George McCracken.

Owens has worked in studios including Electrical Audio and Machines With Magnets as well as experimental spaces unique to the project. His large collection of professional grade equipment and platforms are at his home studio in Brooklyn, NY where he currently operates. With connections to many studios and satellite spaces Owens is available for a variety of engineering projects. All inquiries are welcome.
